Failure to provide specimen
It is an offence for a person who has been required to provide specimens for analysis to fail without reasonable excuse to do so. Requests for a specimen are normally required when an individual is pulled over on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol or driving whilst unfit. This is a particularly complex area of law and the authorities may seek to obtain an evidential breath specimen, urine or blood sample.
Given the technical nature of these requests, various legal issues arise in which we may be able to assist. If you are charged with any such offence, you should always seek the advice of a Solicitor.
