A Scottish bus driver had found himself in hot water after his employers saw “in driving” video he filmed and posted on Facebook.
The driver, Leon Morrow also posted a video of himself allegedly making fun of a passenger.
During one video, it shows him taking his hands of the wheel as he adjusts the camera view. During the video it also shown him driving at speed through a residential area.
Writing on Facebook Morrow said: “Trust me troops I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for months to show yees! Enjoy it.”
He also published a video of himself grinning at the camera as he was driving. A filter was applied to this video which made him up to look like the Batman villain, The Joker.
After a number of complaints from the public, Morrow’s employers had him into a meeting and he was suspended from driving the route.
A source at the company said: “When we became aware he was hauled in and suspended from his route.
“He was obviously driving the bus when the video was shot and talking to a passenger to encourage dialogue for entertainment purposes. It was completely unacceptable, on so many levels.”
Morrow took the videos down from his Facebook page and he stated: “Sorry everyone the video has to come down…people phoning my work and complaining.”
He further replied to an online friend by saying: “Done it for a laugh mate…work phoned me to take it down said customer services were at the work. Loads of people phoning up and complaining. Tatties. Can’t have a laugh bro.”
It is understood that Morrow has now resigned from his job at McGill’s.
