A drug-driver in Wigan fled from police before leading them on a five-mile pursuit.
Bolton Crown Court heard how Simon Nunn, 19, had a car full of passengers when he was pulled over in a cul-de-sac in Ince.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he detected a strong aroma of cannabis. Dash cam footage then shows the VW Polo, driven by Nunn, reversing towards the police car, colliding with it lightly, then pulling out onto Manchester Road.
He is then seen driving through Ince, Hindley, Hindley Green and on into Leigh at speeds of over 60mph, running through red lights before pulling over where he was detained.
For the prosecution, Nichola Carroll said Nunn tested positive for cannabis in a roadside test, as well as admitting he had not yet passed his driving test.
Later examination by a doctor revealed a blood reading of 5.3mg of cannabis per litre of blood. The legal limit is 2.7mg.
Dunn, who had no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident, exceeding the drug-driving limit, and driving without a licence.
He was banned from driving for two years and must undertake a 12-month community order. Following his disqualification period, he must also take an extended retest.
